Reunion 2010 - Activities

ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTIONS
Gaunts House

Surprise Fête
A Fête is a French word meaning festival, celebration or party, which is widely used in England and Australia in the context of a village fête. This is typically an outdoor show held on a village green decorated with bunting. There are usually a variety of fun activities and games suitable for children and young or young-at-heart adults. It is suggested that you might like to bring something to dress up in and if we told you any more, well it wouldn’t be a surprise would it?

Céilidh
A Céilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a traditional Gaelic social gathering involving music and dancing that originated in Ireland and Scotland. We will be dancing to the inspired music of our very own Céilidh band featuring Maude De Corum and her circle of Friends who will be encouraging you to dance the night away ably assisted by the calling of the delightful Julie from France! Costumes are not obligatory but would be very much appreciated!
Ceilidh

Grandfather Fire
On our planet today there are said to be six people who can enter the deep trance that allows the great elemental energy of Fire to speak through them. In North America, David Wiley lends his body so that this God-form, known as Grandfather Fire, can appear and offer guidance to our people.

Afternoon Tea
As part of the fête, the British tradition of serving tea in the afternoon will be strictly observed! The tea will be accompanied by homemade scones with cream and jam (some home-made) and possibly cakes too! Gloves would be appreciated when handling the delicate bone china cups!

Blue Paradox Band
Blue Paradox takes the listener on a journey to the sacred heart of Fire by weaving sounds of many instruments and voices, including those of the indigenous Huichol people. Blue Paradox brings listeners into the joyful dream and dance of deep heart connection.

Lifeways Programmes
The Sacred Fire Community’s Lifeways programs are recreating a cycle of sustenance, a way of moving through the stages of life in harmony with ourselves, our communities, and the rhythm of life. From our birthing council, initiation rituals for young people, and retreats for adults, to our death and dying council and prayer and transitions workshops, Lifeways experiences nurture participants full circle — from the beginning of life to the very end — and are an integral part of maintaining life in this world. Come find out more about what we are offering and how to get involved.
