This world is alive with Divine expression and our heart is the portal connecting us to this Divine Awareness. The heart is the source of our wisdom about how to respond authentically and effectively to life. Yet most of us have never been taught how to listen to the deeper knowing of the heart or how to understand its language. In our culture, there is a powerful bias towards the superiority of the mind but, when we react to life based on the fears, desires and expectations of the mind, it creates a sense of stress and disconnection. It is in revealing and following the guidance of our heart that we experience the connection, fulfillment and joy we long for.

What happens when our mind stills and we enter the dream of the heart? There the heart can reveal what is truly important and what our next step needs to be. We do not need to work it out, to struggle to make the right decision or even to understand it. There is a simple sense of knowing from which we can allow ourselves to be moved.

Where does music come from? This music was born Victoria, BC in the studio with my friend Joby Baker. We set out to make music that was healing and spacious, with streams of rhythm flowing through it. Music without edges. Music to lift and soothe the spirit. I asked some other friends to join in and these songs were built from the flow of their sharing. The result is this beautiful "global heart" music. Perhaps Sheerin's finest work. Formerly released as The Feather.

The Huichols are a small indigenous group of people living in the mountains of northwestern Mexico spread over a remote, canyon-etched land covering parts of the states of Nayarit, Jalisco, and Durango. They would say according to their traditions, "The world was sung into existence by the Gods and it exists now as a song."
